Our Vision.
DUNE is a design, development, and construction company specialising in residential projects in the Canterbury region.
Our goal is to create exceptional projects that set new benchmarks. We are focused on providing exceptional homes underpinned by great design and construction excellence.
DUNE undertakes a wide range of varying projects from new standalone residential dwellings, multi-unit projects and renovations, the majority of these are located in Christchurch.
Our Story
DUNE was founded by Ben Phillips and George Thomas who have combined their respective construction industry experience to produce exceptional results. With over a decade of successful collaboration we have refined our processes, ensuring every project is executed with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
At DUNE we handle the entire project from site acquisition, design, consenting and construction. This means we have control over the entire process to ensure our product achieves the highest of standards.
Ben Phillips

Ben is a CPEng Structural Engineer with extensive experience in new build design and also assessing and repairing damaged properties following the local earthquake events. Ben runs a Structural Engineering Consultancy business and has been working in the Canterbury region for 15+ years.
His role at DUNE includes development design, consenting and funding.
George Thomas
Director
Construction delivery and management
George is an experienced builder and project manager. George is the Construction Manager at DUNE and oversees all construction and site works.
George operates his own construction business and has been building in the Canterbury region for 15+ years.
George is the Construction Manager at DUNE and oversees all construction and site works handling the day to day operations on site and managing all sub-contractors..
